Can you tell us a bit more about yourself and your role in the audit team?
I grew up in Jersey and feel really lucky to call it home. I love getting out and about in nature, and anything health and fitness related. I’m a qualified personal trainer and reformer Pilates instructor, so it really is a passion of mine.
I started my career straight after my A-Levels and have since built my experience, whilst also taking opportunities along the way to travel and gain new perspectives. I’m now part of the audit team at PKF Channel Islands, where I work across a range of clients and industries, helping to deliver high-quality audit services and build strong client relationships.

What’s your career journey been like so far, and what led you to PKF Channel Islands?
I began my career at a Big 4 firm in Jersey in 2015, where I completed my ACCA qualification alongside a BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting. During my time there, I was fortunate to work across several service lines including Audit & Assurance, Learning & Development, and Advisory. This gave me exposure to a wide range of technical areas and helped me develop strong communication and leadership skills. After a conversation with a former colleague about an exciting opportunity at PKF Channel Islands, I was really drawn to the firm – and the rest is history!

What was it about audit that appealed to you when choosing this line of work?
What really appealed to me about audit was the problem-solving aspect and the variety it offers. All clients are different, and I enjoy the challenge of understanding different businesses and industries. I also value the opportunity to build meaningful, long-term relationships with clients. Because of the recurring nature of audit work, you really get to know the businesses you work with and can add value year on year, which I find particularly rewarding.

What stood out to you about PKF Channel Islands when you were deciding where to work?
It was definitely the people. Everyone I met was approachable, collaborative and genuinely supportive. There’s a strong blend of professionalism and approachability here, which immediately stood out to me. It felt like a place where I could continue developing, make a meaningful contribution, and be part of a supportive team – while still maintaining a positive work-life balance.

How would you describe a typical day for you here?
It usually starts with a good old English breakfast tea and a catch-up with the team before diving into the day’s work. Depending on the stage of the audit, I might be involved in planning, carrying out testing, or finalising work. My day can include onsite meetings or calls with clients, responding to queries, collaborating with the team, and always looking for opportunities to add value wherever possible.

If you had to describe the audit team in three words, what would they be?
Supportive, knowledgeable and welcoming

What’s your go to way to relax after a busy day at work?
I like to keep active – it’s the best way for me to unwind. That might be a walk outdoors for some fresh air, a reformer Pilates class, or a gym session. Afterwards, I love a nice dinner with some friends, a sweet treat and some easy-watch TV or a good book.
