The Role

We are looking to recruit at least one qualified accountant and would retain flexibility to appoint a second exceptional candidate should the opportunity arise. This is a broad client-facing role within our General Practice and Local Tax team.
Working closely with Managers, Directors and Partners, the successful candidate will gain exposure to a wide range of businesses, industries and client situations. The role combines accounting, local tax, advisory and client relationship responsibilities, providing excellent exposure to both compliance and advisory work. An interesting and varied role, no two weeks are quite the same.

This is a Jersey-based role.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day client relationships.
• Preparing and reviewing accounts and financial information.
• Assisting with personal and corporate local tax compliance matters and developing practical Jersey tax experience over time.
• Supporting advisory and business development projects.
• Working directly with business owners and decision-makers.
• Taking increasing responsibility for client portfolios over time.
• Contributing to technology, automation and AI-driven improvements across the firm.

Who are we looking for?

Applicants must be have a ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification. We are deliberately keeping the search broad as we are looking for motivated candidates from a variety of backgrounds. Applications are welcomed from:

• Newly qualified accountants
• Recently qualified accountants
• Senior accountants
• Assistant managers
• Managers
• Other individuals who can demonstrate appropriate experience and potential.
• Experience gained in general practice, audit, financial services or industry may all be relevant.
• Jersey local tax experience is beneficial but not essential and can be developed within the role.
• Resident in Jersey, Channel Islands.
